Statement of Faith

The Doctrinal Basis of the Church are the fundamental truths of Christianity.

We believe in the divine inspiration, infallibility and inerrancy of the whole Bible as originally given; and in its supreme and final authority in all matters of faith and life.

We believe in the unity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit in the Godhead.

We believe in the sovereignty of God in creation, providence, revelation, redemption and final judgement.

We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ; in His birth of the virgin Mary; in His real and proper, but sinless humanity; in His miracles; in His substitutionary, expiatory death in that He gave His life a ransom for many; in His bodily resurrection from the dead; in His ascension to the right hand of the Father; and in His personal return in power and glory.

We believe in the universal sinfulness and guilt of the human nature since the Fall, rendering man subject to God s wrath and condemnation.

We believe that redemption from the guilt, penalty and power of sin is only through the sacrificial death (as our Representative and Substitute) of Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Son of God.

We believe that man is justified solely by the grace of God through faith in the finished redemptive work of Christ; and that genuine faith produces the fruits of good works, love, righteousness and holiness.

We believe in the necessity of the work of the Holy Spirit in the individual s life bringing about repentance towards God and faith in Jesus Christ.

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the believer is enabled to live a godly life of service.

We believe in the one holy, universal Church which is the body of Christ and to which all true believers belong.

A church that upholds the Word, reflects the glory of God and shares the love of Jesus in the power of the Spirit.
